All you need is a smartphone and a valid South African ID or passport. You can register easily on the MyZaca App or via WhatsApp at 064 060 1364.

Currently, you can only send money from South Africa to the following countries: Lesotho, Zimbabwe, Zambia, Malawi, DRC, Pakistan and Bangladesh.

No. Both the sender and the beneficiary can use MyZaca without a bank account.

Transfers are processed instantly, money reflects immediately in the recipient’s mobile wallet.

You can make a deposit through your bank app (EFT), at any Nedbank ATM, or at Pay@ partner stores including Pick n Pay, Boxer, Shoprite, Checkers, PEP and Ackermans, using the reference number sent to you via SMS.

The recipient must have a mobile wallet (for example MobiMoney, M-Pesa, EcoCash, Airtel, Orange or MTN, depending on the country).
In Lesotho, the beneficiary can register for MobiMoney by dialing *120*141# and withdraw cash at any Nedbank ATM.
